TheSilverSeal.com is a collection of stories and images recovered from the ill-fated and
tiny subtropical archepelago empire formerly known as the Imperial Repubic of Carnipelago
(I.R.C.), also known to some as "The Venus Islands." This modern-day Pompeii
(or modern-day Gomorrah, depending on some accounts) flourished in relative obscurity
for more than a century before tallest peak, Mt. Bolha (or Blowhole), erupted suddenly in the late 1980's,
completely destroying three of its populated islands and making the other two inhabitable.
While sifting through the aftermath of its cataclysmic and tragic destruction, historians
and archeologists have discovered a wealth of artifacts, photographs, and journals.
The most notorious of all Carnipelagian institutions was a nightclub located on the
southern end of Carniville Park, the massive amusement-park at the foot of Mt. Blowhole,
on the main Island, Carniville. As the remote subtropical nation began to become a
trendy, if not publicly-known, vacation spot for many wealthy businessmen, entertainers,
and foreign dignitaries, the Silver Seal was the most popular venue for gambling,
imbibing, partaking in some of the Island's legally available narcotics, and enjoying
entertainment that usually featured several scantily-clad and almost obscenely voluptuous
dancers and showgirls. With no known airfield on its rocky volcanic islands, Carnipelago
was only accessible to those that could afford to sail there, and the Silver Seal was a guarded
secret among the world's elite millionaires and other powerful people.
The creators of this site were recently given access to a cache of photographs, newspaper
and magazing articles, and diaries about the Club after the passing-away of one of
its frequent visitors. We were only given access to the material with the agreement
that its source, while deceased, would never be revealed. Through the magic of
technology that was never available in a small remote island nation in the 1970's
and 1980's, the creators are attempting to restore many of the old clippings, snapshots,
polaroids, publicity photos and other images to a new luster. We have been made aware
of a cache of VHS tapes that were recorded in the club, but we are still negotiating
with their owner for the right to restore them and present them to you.
We have only just begun to work through the stacks of pictures and documents!
There is much more to come in the weeks, months, and perhaps years to come.
We are still looking for new sources of Carnipelagian art and photography, and
particularly anything centered around Pucky Luxx or the Silver Seal itself.
We hope you will click on some of our advertisers' banners and links for they are all that allows us to continue funding our research and covering the cost of our site and software.
Thank you!
